Elgin resident Skip Palenik has spent 30 years sorting through microscopic evidence for everything from murders to counterfeit art scams. His work helped solve the Green River killings, which occurred in the early 1980s near Seattle. The River Man, a movie about the Green River murders, airs Monday, September 6, 2004, at 7 pm on the A & E channel.
