History of the Microtrace Laboratory

Microtrace traces its origins back to the basement of Skip Palenik's boyhood home on the Southwest side of Chicago, just blocks from Midway airport.  There, Skip and his brother Mark, built up a chemical microscopy laboratory. Over the years, the laboratory, has been through several moves and expansions.  Below are several images from earlier times.  Click a thumbnail to see a larger image.
