Christmas 2003
Our Christmas tree this year owes its holiday essence To the light emitted by its cathodoluminescence The green ornaments are crystals that were positioned to amaze And their color’s from impurities in the plagioclase The ornaments of pink we positioned all just right To display the luminescence of our fluoroapatite And when we adjust the electron beam that turns our small tree on We excite the bluish color of the crystals of zircon Last of all you’ll note the stem glows red and very bright Well that color comes from a crystal of the mineral calcite Now we know this little verse appeals to neither rhyme nor reason Nonetheless we hope you’ll have a truly Merry Christmas Season SEASON’S GREETINGS Microtrace |
