Christmas 1998

Back to Christmas Cards

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
but a gingerbread microscope with full polarizing gear

With a body of icing and Boston bean candy
the red licorice stage fitted its function just dandy

The tube was constructed not of brass but of Oreos
and I found the Ritz cracker foc'sing knobs most curious

The sour apple ocular on the drawtube gleamed green
and the cookie condenser was fixed there with cream

The Lifesaver objective was separable, in fact
and obtained its great power from its red cinnamon cap

But the specimen of attention lay beneath this objective
on a vanilla wafer slide which performed most effective

With an eye to the ocular we can see it just right

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Goodnight
